温哥华机场外要修渡轮码头

在今年BC省交通厅发布的一份报告中，一个“大计划”浮现出来：在温哥华国际机场（YVR）附近修一个新的BC渡轮码头（BC Ferries terminal），位于列治文海岛（Sea Island）以北的Iona岛。


报告称，这样的码头将“大大减少机场到温哥华岛的时间，同时能让YVR和加拿大线得到更好的整合。”在Iona岛的码头，战略上毗邻YVR，它将“成为一个综合的交通枢纽”。

温哥华机场管理局在计划第四条新跑道，将在海岛的西侧海岸，填海填出来，任何渡轮码头或游轮码头的设计，都必须能够容纳并给这个新跑道留出空间。






如果YVR机场附近真的建了码头，以后大温的居民和游客想去温哥华岛，就不用绕远去措瓦森坐船；岛上的居民想要来温哥华走亲访友或者转机，从列治文登陆也更方便；但不论是南来还是北往，列治文的人流量变大，是肯定的了。
不过此项目待建成，还需要很长的时间，按照加拿大政府的办事效率。最近这几年肯定是没戏的
